In Georgian London, Robert Sayer was considered among the leading publishers and sellers of prints and maps. Sayer was the brother-in-law of Mary Overton – daughter of the printseller John Overton. His premises had previously belonged to his sister in law, and he achieved enormous success in the Fleet Street location. He is perhaps best known for his fine copper-engravings of city views, but we also have some stunning examples of his other engravings also.
